WWE presents the Royal Rumble premium live event on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from Indianapolis, IN at Lucas Oil Stadium. The show is on track to set a new record.
The main event for the WWE Royal Rumble has yet to be announced, but it’s expected to be the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Other matches include Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens in a Ladder Match, the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, and WWE Tag Team Champions DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin in a Two Out Of Three Falls Match.
Another match may be added to the card. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the Royal Rumble is on track to set the largest non-WrestleMania gate in history.
Meltzer wrote, “WWE has not confirmed to us that the show will set the largest non-WrestleMania gate in history, but given the ticket prices and the way tickets have moved, it would appear to be in that direction.” As of Friday, WWE had 55,751 tickets out. A true sell-out of the building would be 65,000.
