Jordynne Grace On WWE As Her End Goal: When I Was A Kid, I Wanted To Wrestle And Be A Diva

Jordynne Grace made an appearance on the latest episode of Insight With Chris Van Vliet to discuss a wide range of topics, including whether WWE was always where she wanted to be.

As Fightful Select first reported, Grace signed a multi-year deal with WWE after finishing up her commitments with TNA Wrestling at Genesis by putting over Tessa Blanchard. She has been on WWE’s radar since appearing in the Royal Rumble and used on NXT TV a handful of times.

“Just in general, I wanted to be a wrestler in general. Like, I just wanted to wrestle, I think, yeah, when I was a kid, but I also wanted to be a Diva. Yes, [the] era I was watching. So, I wanted to be like one of the models. I wanted to be like one of the model wrestlers. And I think since then, obviously, like, things have changed so much. I started, I watched, started watching TNA man, I want to say, like, a few years before I actually started wrestling, and the variation in, like, WWE and teen at the time was huge, obviously. And I saw like, women, like, Awesome Kong. And I was like, ‘Dang, yeah, maybe I could be like that.’”

WWE used the term Diva when referring to its female stars before dropping it and calling them Superstars just like the men.
