Malakai Black Is A Free Agent, Removed From AEW Roster Page

AEW has removed Malakai Black from its roster page, an indication that the star is no longer with the promotion. In this case, it was expected.

It has been believed that Black will become a free agent in March, if not sooner. Now, it appears that he is WWE-bound.

As previously reported by Wade Keller of the PWTorch, there are influential people in WWE who are big fans of Black and see him as a possible top singles act in the company. Those close to him stated Black felt he was more palatable with Paul Levesque in charge of creative compared to Vince McMahon and that he never developed a rapport with Khan.

In a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE has discussed creative ideas for him. It’s unclear when he will be joining WWE.

As seen below, Black had been listed on the page as recently as February 3rd. However, now, Black’s profile is gone. PWInsider.com reports that Black’s deal expired on Sunday and he is a free agent.
