Keith Lee Was Backstage At Recent AEW Event Amid TV Hiatus

There has been a positive news tidbit on Keith Lee while away from AEW TV.

Lee has not been seen inside the ring in over a year and remained off AEW television. At the 2023 Worlds End PPV, Lee was slated to work Swerve Strickland, but he was pulled because he wasn’t medically cleared to compete.

Lee previously stated on Twitter that he had been working through an injury since September 2022, and while the injury was “mostly well taken care of,” things have gotten worse since ROH Final Battle. Lee revealed on a private account that he would be having two surgeries.

PWInsider.com reports that Lee was at last week’s Dynamite in Athena, GA. Up until this point, he had not been backstage at any shows. It’s still unclear when he will be medically cleared for an in-ring return.

We wish him a speedy recovery. You can see a photo of a much slimmer-looking Lee from December here.
