Michelle McCool: I Don’t Know If I Will Get WWE Hall Of Fame Induction, But I Hope LayCool Goes In

Michelle McCool appeared on the latest Insight With Chris Van Vliet episode to discuss a wide range of topics, including a possible WWE Hall of Fame induction.

LayCool, consisting of McCool and Layla, was a popular and successful women’s tag team in WWE during the late 2000s and early 2010s. Layla succeeded with McCool, and they got over together. In May 2010, she became a Women’s Champion.

Two years later, she won the Divas Title before retiring in 2015. McCool, also a former Divas Champion, retired from wrestling in 2011. Their breakup led to a “Loser Leaves WWE” match at Extreme Rules, which Layla won, marking the end of McCool’s full-time WWE career.

“I don’t know [about getting the WWE Hall of Fame call]. I get that question all the time. I mean, it would be an honor. I don’t know. Not my call. Don’t even know whose call it is. I have no idea… Oh, [Layla] inducts [me]? Well, I would hope LayCool would go in, and you know, everybody always asks—I mean, that would be an honor to go in as Michelle McCool, obviously…. LayCool is what put Michelle McCool really on the map, and I’ll never take that for granted. But she just disassociated from wrestling for quite some time and I respected that. Would I give anything to have a LayCool reunion at a Rumble? Yeah…every once in a while [we talk]. It’s one of those deals. We don’t have to talk every day. Not even every month, but nothing changes. Well, I appreciate it [fans calling for her to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame]. I do. My daughter asks me all the time. I’m like, ‘Would you hush? I don’t know. I don’t know. Don’t rub it in. I don’t know.’”
