REPORT: TNA Wrestling Has Strong Interest In Released WWE Star

Earlier this month, Sonya Deville, Elektra Lopez, Giovanni Vinci, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Isla Dawn, Cedric Alexander, AOP (Rezar and Akam), their manager Paul Ellering, and Blair Davenport departed from WWE.

Lopez signed with WWE in 2021 and quickly became associated with the Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Angel, & Berto) faction in NXT. The group moved to SmackDown in late 2022, but Lopez initially stayed behind in NXT before she later rejoined them on the main roster in early 2024.

She last competed on the December 6th episode of WWE SmackDown in a triple threat match against Tiffany Stratton and Naomi for the WWE Women’s United States Title Tournament. She will now wait 90 days for her non-compete clause to expire.

According to Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass reporter Chris Featherstone, TNA Wrestling is showing strong interest in Lopez. Discussions are reportedly underway for her debut with the company following her non-compete clause.

Featherstone also reports that Lopez recently visited backstage at a TNA television event. While other promotions are also interested in signing her, she is currently leaning towards joining TNA.
