Gable Steveson made history on Sunday, securing his fourth Big Ten Championship.
While wrestling for the Minnesota Golden Gophers, he defeated Penn State’s Greg Kerkvliet 10-3 in the heavyweight division, marking his 66th consecutive victory. This win marks Steveson’s place as the first heavyweight to achieve four Big Ten titles.
As a result, he became the 19th wrestler overall to do so, joining the ranks of legends like Verne Gagne.

Steveson signed a multi-year contract with WWE in 2021. After a highly successful amateur wrestling career, he went to training for his pro wrestling career full-time.
Steveson worked a handful of live events in NXT and dark matches at SmackDown events. However, his only TV match was a no-contest with Baron Corbin at an NXT PLE in 2023. He was released last year.
