Top Free Agent Has Had Talks With WWE

Jeff Cobb is reportedly on WWE’s radar as the top NJPW star continues to be in the headlines after Cobb questioned his future with NJPW, sparking speculation about a WWE move.

As previously noted, Fightful Select has reported that WWE is monitoring Cobb. One source claims he’s on their internal roster, though this is unconfirmed. With his NJPW contract unclear, a WWE signing is possible.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that “The only thing we have heard from WWE at press time is that there have been talks, but no confirmation of a deal.”
