Nick Khan: ‘We Won’t Sign And Bench People. We Sign People Who We Want to Use’

Several AEW stars, including Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, Rey Fenix, and Penta, have gone from the rival promotion to WWE in recent years.

Speaking to Bill Simmons on The Bill Simmons podcast, WWE President Nick Khan was asked about acquiring too much talent so that not all of them can be appropriately utilized.

Khan stated, “That’s something we won’t do. We won’t sign and bench people. We sign people who we want to use. If another entity signs and benches people now, that’s not something we would do.”

Simmons noted, “That’s a thing that happens.”

Khan added, “That’s what I’ve been told from time to time. Not us.”
