MVP On If Cedric Alexander Will Join The Hurt Syndicate: ‘I Believe He Is Still On His 90 Days’

In a recent interview on Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Bobby Lashley and MVP discussed the formation and future of The Hurt Syndicate in AEW, reflecting on their previous run as The Hurt Business in WWE.

The Hurt Syndicate, currently consisting of Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin, officially formed in AEW in late 2024, a reunion of the core members of the popular WWE stable. They are the current AEW World Tag Team Champions, having defeated Private Party in January 2025.

Their storyline has recently involved MJF attempting to join the group, with MVP seemingly open to the idea while Lashley remains strongly against it. Cedric Alexander, the fourth member of The Hurt Business in WWE, was released by WWE in early 2025, leading to speculation about him potentially joining The Hurt Syndicate in AEW once his 90-day non-compete clause expires. Here are the highlights:

MVP on if Cedric Alexander will join The Hurt Syndicate: “I believe he is still on his 90 days.”

Lashley on if he knew The Hurt Syndicate would get back together: “I did. I mean, it was inevitable. When we came together originally, it was so natural. It was so real. The crowd, you guys knew it. This isn’t just a couple of guys that got thrown together. You see it all the time. You see in WWE, you see it in AEW, guys that get thrown together, and the minute they leave the show, they all go their separate ways. That’s not how we work. We are really friends. We really do stuff together. We really argue. We really fight like brothers. This is real. You guys feel it, and that’s why it gets over so well.”
