Free Agent Believed To Be AEW-Bound

After making her mark in Japan for over three years, wrestler Thekla has concluded her time with Stardom. Now, a new chapter in her career is about to begin.

Fightful confirmed that Thekla’s contract agreement with the prominent joshi promotion has expired. The report also confirms she is effectively headed to the United States, a move sources noted has been planned for quite some time.

Thekla appears to be a wrestler in high demand on the free-agent market. When Fightful previously inquired with WWE sources about Thekla (around the time of Giulia’s signing), they were reportedly told WWE “had their eye on her.” Furthermore, strong interest from All Elite Wrestling was noted towards the end of 2024, and various independent companies have also inquired about her booking availability.

Despite interest from multiple parties, the report indicates that sources spoken to within AEW believe Thekla is headed to their company. With her Stardom run complete and a move to the US imminent, her next destination is a major point of interest in the wrestling world.
