WWE Bringing In Former Star As Guest Trainer?

According to PWInsider.com, talk has surfaced about former WWE Superstar Doug Basham returning to help out the next generation.

Basham has been training talent at Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), WWE’s former developmental territory in recent years, where he initially made his name. He was among the OVW trainers who helped prepare actress Emily Bett Rickards for her participation in the Queen of the Ring film.

Fans will remember Basham from his initial WWE run, which began in OVW. There, he formed a dominant tag team with The Damaja (Danny Basham) and captured the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship multiple times.

The duo debuted on WWE SmackDown in 2003 as The Basham Brothers, managed by Shaniqua. They won the WWE Tag Team Championship twice. During his long WWE Championship reign, they later found prominent roles as the “Co-Secretaries of Defense” within JBL’s Cabinet faction.

Per the report, there is talk that he might soon work as a guest trainer at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
