Joe Hendry Says Triple H’s WrestleMania Pep Talk “Took All The Nerves Away”

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry shared high praise for WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, recounting a significant backstage interaction at WrestleMania 41. Speaking on “Insight With Chris Van Vliet,” Hendry revealed Triple H took a moment to speak with him before his match against Randy Orton, a gesture that greatly impacted him.

“He did say that to me backstage, exactly as he said it in the press conference is what he said to me,” Hendry confirmed, referring to Triple H publicly stating Hendry would be at many more WrestleManias. “This is what I really like about my interactions with Triple H. He’s an awesome guy, he’s just a cool guy.”

Hendry emphasized the significance of the CCO taking time out during such a busy event. “For him to take that moment to come over when he’s producing WrestleMania… because that moment is for me, is for nobody else, for him to give me that moment, very busy, to go, ‘Hey, listen, you’ll be here again, but this is the fun one.’ He knows what he’s doing,” Hendry explained.

He credited Triple H’s words for easing his nerves. “In a way, him telling me that takes all the nerves away, doesn’t it? It allows you to go out there and be free and enjoy the moment. And he did that at Rumble as well… I have no idea why I was so calm at WrestleMania. I do suspect it’s because I ran it through so many times in my head… and part of that is because he took the time to have that conversation with me.”
