Mr. Kennedy addressed the memorable and seemingly brutal chair shot he received from The Undertaker, revealing on “Insight With Chris Van Vliet” that the impact was far less severe than it appeared.
“It didn’t hurt,” Kennedy stated, explaining the technique behind the safe execution. “Because instead of holding both legs [of the chair], you hold just one set of legs. Get your thumbs inside. Then when you hit it, it just opens up. It just kind of folds. It wasn’t bad.”
He went on to praise The Undertaker’s in-ring work, dispelling any notion of stiffness from the legend. “He was one of the lightest guys I’ve ever worked with on anything, nothing he ever did connected,” Kennedy remarked.
