Omos Recalls Life-Threatening Pituitary Tumor Diagnosis at Age 18

WWE Superstar Omos recently opened up about a life-threatening medical diagnosis he received at the young age of 18 while in college. This discovery of a pituitary tumor ultimately set him on a unique medical journey.

Speaking on Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Omos detailed the moment he learned about the tumor. “I walk in and they pull out my MRI. They go, ‘Hey, so we did the MRI on your brain. You see this little dot right here? You have a pituitary tumor,’” he recounted doctors telling him.

“We’re gonna take it out because you’re gonna go blind or you’re gonna have a heart attack,’” Omos continued, explaining the dire warning. He added, “Because my body was producing so many growth hormones, it was making my heart enlarged. So they said, ‘We need to get this fixed now.’” This was how he first found out about the critical condition.

Omos described the shock of this news, especially being so young and far from home. “I know it was a blessing. I was 18 years old, and it was just me and myself in college. My parents were back home in Nigeria. I never expected anything like that to happen my entire life,” he shared.
