Mariah May Removed From AEW Roster, Expected To Go To WWE Imminently

Former AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May has been removed from the official All Elite Wrestling roster page on the company’s website. This strongly indicates her departure from the promotion. Sean Ross Sapp of Fighting Select reports that she is set to join WWE imminently.

May’s contract with AEW was reportedly set to expire later this year (2025). Her last appearance on AEW television was at the Revolution pay-per-view in March, where Toni Storm defeated her in a “bloody Hollywood Ending fight” to win back the AEW Women’s World Championship.

Prior to that, May, who arrived in AEW in late 2023 as Storm’s protégé, had turned on Storm after winning the 2024 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and went on to defeat her for the AEW Women’s World Title at All In 2024.

It has been heavily reported that WWE has significant interest in signing May should she become a free agent.
