Backstage News On The Absence Of AEW’s Kamille

An update has come out regarding the absence of AEW star Kamille, who has not been on television for over six months. She is reportedly not injured, but will not be back soon due to a commitment to an outside television project.

According to a Fightful Select report, “Kamille has an upcoming television project she’s working on that will have her busy through part of the Summer.” This situation is noted to be similar to Wardlow’s, whose own AEW return was delayed until his separate TV filming was completed.

The report also notes that many of her fellow AEW talent were “effectively ‘in the dark’ about her absence and didn’t hear a specific reason.” There was some internal belief that a potential creative partnership with Mercedes Moné “wasn’t working.” Still, sources clarified that Mercedes was willing to work with Kamille, and do a match. It was something that was discussed back in December [2024].

For now, Kamille, who reportedly “still has plenty of time left on her AEW deal,” will be off television for the foreseeable future while she works on her television project.
