Ric Flair Cancels Fan Event To Focus On Skin Cancer Treatment

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has announced canceling an upcoming fan event to focus on his health. The 16-time world champion confirmed he is dealing with melanoma, a serious form of skin cancer, and can no longer procrastinate on his treatment.

The “Nature Boy” took to Twitter on Monday to inform fans that he would not be able to make a scheduled appearance on Tuesday. In his statement, Flair was direct about his health situation and thanked his fans for their support.

“To All My Dear Friends And Fans- I Am So Sorry, That I Will Not Be Able To See You Tuesday. I Have Health Issues, That I Need To Attend To. As I Have Procrastinated Putting My Health First In The Past. Melanoma, I Have Found Out, Is Nothing To Play With. I Promise To See You ASAP. Please Continue To Love Ric Flair Drip, As @_RicFlairDrip Loves You.”

This announcement comes after a week of conflicting reports regarding his health. Flair initially denied rumors that he had cancer, only to confirm days later that he was, in fact, undergoing treatment for skin cancer for the second time. Best wishes to the Nature Boy.
