TNA Is Close To Securing Media Rights Deal With Bigger Platform

TNA Wrestling is actively working to secure a new media rights deal, and according to Anthem Sports Group President Carlos Silva, an announcement could be coming within the next few months. Silva provided an update on the company’s progress toward finding a bigger platform for its weekly show.

TNA ‘Close’ To Securing Deal With Bigger Platform

While speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Carlos Silva confirmed that TNA is deep in the process of negotiating a new deal and is being assisted by the Creative Artists Agency (CAA). He noted that the process has gained significant momentum recently.

“We want to find a bigger platform. We’ve got CAA helping us. We’re actively in the middle of it. If I could get a few things done, I’d love to tell you. We are close,” Silva stated. “We’ve been working on it since the beginning of the year, really since I joined. It’s really accelerated over the last 60 days, so we’re working through it.”

Timeline For Announcement And Going Live

When asked for a timeline, Silva indicated a window for when a deal could be finalized and what the rollout might look like. He also confirmed that the goal is to eventually broadcast TNA iMPACT! live 52 weeks a year.

“I think we could be in a 60-90 day window to get something done… It would come into play at the end of 2025,” Silva explained. “Yes, we’ve been asked by many that they’d like it to be live for 52 weeks a year. Maybe it wouldn’t go live in January straight away for all 52 weeks, but we would certainly lean into that to try to make it happen.”

Silva added that regarding the night of the week the show would air, they’re open to moving it to a different night, but would want to avoid airing on nights in a crowded market. TNA is currently building towards its next pay-per-view event, Slammiversary, which takes place on Saturday, July 19th.
