Roman Reigns to Be Known as “OTC1” (Tribal Chief One) Upon WWE Return

As Roman Reigns’ return to WWE television draws closer, a new report has shed light on how the former champion may be presented. According to a post on X from the reliable wrestling news account WrestleVotes, WWE has a new moniker in mind for the former “Head of the Table.”

The “Original Tribal Chief”

The report states that the leading idea for Reigns’ new name upon his return is “OTC1”, which stands for “Original Tribal Chief One.” This new title would serve to differentiate him from the various power players who have risen in his absence and re-establish his dominance over the company.

The report also reaffirms previous news about the timing of his comeback. “Sources continue to indicate Reigns is slated for SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium,” WrestleVotes noted, confirming that his return is expected to happen at one of WWE’s biggest events of the year.

A New War on the Horizon

While his cousin Solo Sikoa has taken over his family faction, Reigns’ focus appears to have shifted. The last time fans saw the former champion was on the Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania, where he was the victim of a brutal and shocking attack. He was laid out by the new powerhouse faction led by Seth Rollins and featuring Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and his own former “Wise Man,” Paul Heyman.

That attack seemingly wrote Reigns off of television, and his “OTC1” return will place him on a direct collision course with this new, dominant group. With his return reportedly set for SummerSlam, it appears the stage is being set for a major confrontation between the “Original Tribal Chief” and the new empire led by Seth Rollins and “The Oracle” Paul Heyman.
