Former WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly (real name Barbie Blank) will not be at this Sunday’s Evolution premium live event, but not for a lack of an invitation. In a recent post on her X account, Blank revealed that she was invited by WWE to attend the show but ultimately declined the offer.
Not The Right Way to Come Back
Responding to a fan on the social media platform, Blank explained that while she was honored by the invitation, she was asked to attend the event simply as a fan in the crowd. She felt that this was not the appropriate way for her to make a return to the WWE Universe.
“Thank you love, I was So honored to be invited to Evolution II, to sit in the crowd it just didn’t feel like the right way to come back,” she wrote.

“I’ll Be Back When The Time’s Right”
Despite her absence, Blank expressed her full support for the women competing on the historic, all-women’s show. “I’ll always be proud to have been part of the first [Evolution], my heart is with every woman in that ring tomorrow,” she stated.
She concluded her message with a hopeful tease for her fans, making it clear that she is not done with professional wrestling and plans to return to the ring one day. “I’ll be back when the time’s right,” she wrote, followed by a heart emoji.
Kelly Kelly was one of the most popular female superstars of the late 2000s and early 2010s, winning the WWE Divas Championship in 2011. Since her departure from the company, she has made several surprise appearances, most notably as a participant in multiple Women’s Royal Rumble matches.
