WWE Has ‘Elite Level’ Plans For Jacob Fatu

According to a new report, WWE is set for a major promotional push for recent SmackDown debutant Jacob Fatu. The company reportedly views him as a future top star and is planning a marketing effort to match.

WWE To Elevate Jacob Fatu’s Profile

Speaking on the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio, WrestleVotes reported on the company’s plans for the “Samoan Werewolf.” The report states that Fatu is in for a significant elevation on-screen and off.

“We are told, Jacob Fatu’s rise as a top-tier baby face is officially underway with the company ready to elevate his profile, not just on screen, but through heavy promotion and public appearances,” WrestleVotes reported.

Elite-Level Merchandise Push Planned

The report detailed a specific merchandise strategy for Fatu, one that is usually only reserved for the company’s biggest names. This effort will see Fatu represented alongside local sports teams in the cities WWE visits.

“In fact, expect to see exclusive city-themed merchandise for the Samoan werewolf, designed in collaboration with local sports teams, beginning to roll out in both arenas and stadiums soon,” WrestleVotes stated. “That kind of marketing effort has historically been reserved for elite talent, which speaks volumes about how highly the company views Jacob Fatu potential… you’re talking to guys like John Cena and Steve Austin, and now they’re going to throw Jacob Fatu into this scenario.”

The planned push comes as Fatu has made a major impact on Friday Night SmackDown since his debut. He is currently embroiled in a feud with Solo Sikoa and The MFT’s.
