A new report has provided more details on the status of Will Ospreay, who was written off of television with a stretcher angle at the AEW All In: Texas pay-per-view. The report confirms both men are expected to be out for a while.
Ospreay’s Injuries ‘Worse Than He Thought’
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Will Ospreay, who has been “hurting for a while,” is taking time off after his injuries became “worse than he thought.” There is currently no timetable for his return, as he is scheduled to be fully checked out by a doctor in the U.S. next week.
His absence puts his previously planned role as a focal point for the Forbidden Door show on August 24 in doubt. His victory alongside Swerve Strickland against The Young Bucks now positions Strickland for a solo run at the AEW World Championship.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
