AEW star and former TBS Champion Kris Statlander has shared a happy update from her personal life. The AEW original has revealed on social media that she is in a relationship with independent wrestling star Gino Medina.
Statlander And Gino Medina Go Public
In a recent post on her Instagram account, Statlander disclosed that she is dating Gino Medina. Medina is a wrestler best known for his work in Major League Wrestling (MLW) and Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion. Statlander has made a name for herself in AEW and at just 29 years old, has many years ahead of her in the ring.
A Resilient Career In AEW
Statlander was the first female graduate of the Create A Pro Wrestling Academy and signed with AEW in 2019 after a brief appearance for WWE. Her career has been marked by incredible resilience, as she has battled back from two separate ACL tears in 2020 and 2022. Following her second comeback, she was rewarded for her perseverance when she captured the AEW TBS Championship.
Statlander has been a consistent presence in the AEW women’s division since her last return from injury. She most recently competed at All In: Texas, a pay-per-view event on July 12, where she participated in the high-stakes Women’s Casino Gauntlet match, which was ultimately won by Athena.
