TNA Star Shares Positive News After Scary Slammiversary Moment

TNA Wrestling star Mustafa Ali has taken to social media to address a frightening moment from his match at last night’s Slammiversary pay-per-view. Ali took full responsibility for a botched dive to the outside, defending the ringside talent who had been criticized by some fans.

Ali Takes Blame For Scary Dive

During his match against Cedric Alexander, Ali performed a dive through the ropes but appeared to slip, causing him to hit Alexander awkwardly and land head-first on the floor. In a tweet this morning, Ali clarified that the scary fall was his fault alone.

“Appreciate everyone’s concern. Unfortunately, I have to pull the curtain back here because the talent ringside was absolutely not responsible for that scary fall in any way and they are getting all the blame,” Ali wrote. “They did exactly what they were instructed to do. I tried to do a variation of a dive and simply slipped off my opponent. No one to blame but me.”

‘I Am All Good’

Despite the frightening appearance of the landing, Ali was able to finish the match, ultimately defeating Alexander. He also confirmed that he did not suffer any serious injury from the fall and will not be missing any time. “I am all good,” he wrote. “See ya on #TNAiMPACT”

Ali’s victory over his former WWE colleague was one of several major matches on the Slammiversary card. The event was headlined by a triple threat match that saw Trick Williams successfully defend the TNA World Championship against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana. The show also featured a historic “Winner-Take-All” match between TNA and NXT, as well as a special appearance by WWE star and TNA legend, AJ Styles.
