New details have emerged regarding the card for the upcoming WWE SummerSlam premium live event, including the night on which a key women’s title match will take place and information on a match that has been altered from the original plans.
Becky Lynch vs. Lyra Valkyria Set For Night One
According to a report from Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com, the Women’s Intercontinental Championship match between Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria is currently scheduled for the first night of the two-night event on Saturday, August 2nd.
Original Plans For Charlotte Flair And Alexa Bliss Changed
The report also noted that a singles match between Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss was originally planned for SummerSlam. However, Flair reportedly requested to keep their tag team together. As a result, the plans were changed, and the duo will now challenge Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at the PLE.
In addition to these two matches, the event will also feature Naomi defending the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY, and Tiffany Stratton defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill.
