The show started off with the WWE roster on stage to pay tribute to Hulk Hogan. Triple H said we would not be standing here right now all together if it wasn’t for Hogan. They gave him a 10 bell salute and aired a video montage that covered his childhood, his career, and life outside of wrestling.

Logan Paul Impaulsive TV: Jelly Roll

Logan Paul told Jelly Roll you are getting in the ring with two of WWE’s finest. Jelly told Logan you have been a silver spoon kid your whole life. I’m getting in this ring to represent every poor kid who had a dream and got pissed on by high school jocks like you. My story has inspired millions of people. You’re soft and you’re nothing but a Prime pedaling punk ass bitch.

Drew McIntyre got in the ring. Randy Orton made his way to the ring. Orton looked like he was going to start speaking, dropped the mic and punched McIntyre while Jelly charged after Logan. McIntyre slammed Orton against the announce table, got back in the ring, and attacked Jelly, sending him to the mat. McIntyre got on top of Jelly, but stopped and let Logan pound away at him. Orton grabbed McIntyre and threw him into the guard rail. Jelly punched Logan and gave him a few shoulder tackles. Logan kicked Jelly in the stomach. Logan went for the knockout punch, but Jelly ducked and hit him with a Black Hole Slam.

Charlotte threw Raquel over the ring barrier. Roxanne argued with Charlotte. When Roxanne turned around, Bliss hit her with a DDT. Bliss went to the top rope. As she was about to hit the Twisted Bliss, Raquel jumped Charlotte and was about to give her a Tijuana Bomb. Bliss jumped off the top rope with a Twisted Bliss onto Raquel to save Charlotte. Roxanne grabbed Bliss as she was getting back in the ring and rolled her up for the pin while holding the ropes for leverage. Bliss had a bloody nose from this.

Cody Rhodes interview:

Cody Rhodes said WWE lost one of its giants in Hulk Hogan. I know emotions and feelings regarding it are complicated, but what is not complicated are his accomplishments and contributions to WWE, to sports entertainment, to pro wrestling, and entertainment as a whole. They are staggering and indisputable. I want to take a moment to say, thank you, Hulk Hogan.

At SummerSlam, I want to fight the real John Cena. If this is your last SummerSlam, come to it like it is your first. I want all the hustle, loyalty and respect. I want the real John Cena so I know this story we’ve been on is real and the only person who has the answer to that question is John Cena.

The Miz – Jacob Fatu confrontation

Jacob Fatu said Solo Sikoa tried to send me to jail last week. At SummerSlam, I’m going to dog walk his ass inside the steel cage. The Miz showed up. He told Jacob that he put him on the shelf six weeks ago, just enough time to figure out who I am. Solo reminded me there’s a bigger game at play and you’re just a pawn. I’m not the victim, I’m not the target, I’m the main character. I went to Nick Aldis and got a match with you right now. You got the wrong guy on the wrong date in the wrong city because Cleveland is my hometown. He then slapped Jacob in the face.

Pre-tape interviews

Aleister Black said Damian Priest built up their match for next week on SmackDown.

Jacob Fatu vs The Miz

MFT made their way to ringside. Jacob dove through the ropes onto Miz, JC Mateo, and Tama Tonga. He threw Miz back into the ring before sending Talla Tonga into the ring post. Jacob hit a superkick on Solo and got back in the ring. He gave Miz a Samoan Drop and pinned him.

After the match, MFT jumped Jacob. Jimmy Uso came into the ring with a chair. He hit Solo, JC and Tama with it to clear the ring. He hit Talla in the back with the chair, but it had no effect. Talla kicked Jimmy in the face. MFT got back in the ring, but Jacob got the better of them. Jacob grabbed the chair and wrapped it around Solo’s neck. As he went for the hip attack, Talla intercepted him with a big clothesline and a chokeslam. Solo then held Jacob and gave him the Samoan Spike.

Vega told Giulia she wants her rematch. Kiana said I already talked to Nick Aldis and you’ll get your opportunity next week.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The Wyatt Sick6 (Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis) (champions) (w/Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan and Nikki Cross) vs. Andrade and Rey Fenix

Andrade hit Gacy with The Message. Nikki pulled the referee out of the ring as she was counting the pinfall which caused the referee to call for the bell. The Motor City Machine Guns came in and Rowan hit both of them with a flying body press. The Street Profits came in and jumped Rowan to send him out of the ring. DIY came down with Nick Aldis. Fraxiom dove through the ropes onto Gargano and Ciampa. The Street Profits dove on everybody. Officials came out to break it up.
