WWE is planning an extensive amount of pre-show content for this weekend’s inaugural two-night SummerSlam premium live event. A new report has revealed that there will be a total of six hours of kickoff show programming across both nights.
Six Hours Of Pre-Show Content For SummerSlam
According to a report from WrestleVotes, WWE will be presenting a three-hour pre-show for Night 1 on Saturday and another three-hour pre-show for Night 2 on Sunday. The pre-show festivities are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. EST, leading directly into the main card’s start time of 6 p.m. EST for both nights.
An Unprecedented Two-Night Event
This year marks the first time that WWE’s “Biggest Party of the Summer” will take place across two nights. The event is scheduled for this Saturday, August 2nd, and Sunday, August 3rd, from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The extended pre-show programming is part of WWE’s effort to make the weekend a massive, WrestleMania-level spectacle.
The final build for the two-night event will take place on tonight’s go-home episode of Monday Night Raw. The show will feature a World Tag Team Championship match, a massive eight-woman tag team match, and final confrontations from Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER ahead of their respective SummerSlam showdowns.
