Lyra Valkyria’s Fiance, Seven-Foot Giant Among WWE Tryout Attendees

More names have emerged from the ongoing WWE talent tryouts taking place this week in New Jersey as part of the SummerSlam festivities. The list of attendees includes a mix of experienced independent wrestlers, international talent, and athletes from other fields.

Familiar Faces And International Talent

The official WWE Recruit Instagram page shared photos from the tryouts, which included some familiar faces. Among them were seven-foot-tall Ben Bishop, who has made appearances for AEW, and Irish independent star LJ Cleary, who is the fiancé of WWE Raw’s Lyra Valkyria.

A Diverse Group Of Prospects

A report from Fightful Select has revealed even more names. Goldenboy Santos and Rayne Leverkusen, who were part of WWE’s tryouts in London earlier this year, are in attendance. Other names reported include Omari, CBL, influencer Meghan Walker, Zoe Sager, and Division I wrestler Aeduen Beauge, among others. The report also noted that two prospects from the London tryouts, Aigle Blanc and Mike D Vecchio, are expected to report to the WWE Performance Center in September.

This diverse group of attendees aligns with a recent report that WWE is evolving its recruitment strategy to be more “open minded,” looking beyond just college athletes to also include experienced independent wrestlers in their search for the next generation of superstars.
