John Cena Reaches Milestone As Undisputed WWE Champion

As he continues his farewell tour, John Cena has reached a significant milestone in his historic 17th world championship reign. The “Never Seen 17-Time World Champion” has officially held the Undisputed WWE Championship for 100 days.

A Historic Reign And A Looming Retirement

Cena captured the championship from Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 41 on April 20th, a victory that officially broke Ric Flair’s record for the most recognized world title reigns. This is Cena’s first world championship since 2017. The milestone comes as Cena is in the final months of his in-ring career, with a retirement match scheduled for December.

The Final Chapter Of A Legendary Career

Since winning the title, Cena has made two successful defenses against Randy Orton and CM Punk. His farewell tour has taken him around the world, and he currently has 14 confirmed appearances remaining before he hangs up his boots for good.

The next major stop on Cena’s retirement tour is this coming weekend at the two-night SummerSlam premium live event. He is scheduled to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship in a WrestleMania rematch against the man he took the title from, Cody Rhodes, in a Street Fight.
