WWE And ESPN Radio Partnering For SummerSlam Pre-Show Special

WWE is partnering with ESPN Radio for a special audio pre-show to build anticipation for this weekend’s massive two-night SummerSlam event. The three-hour special will be hosted by two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and his “Hall of Fame” podcast co-host, Brad Gilmore.

Booker T To Host ESPN Radio SummerSlam Pre-Show

First reported by Sean Ross Sapp, the special SummerSlam audio pre-show will air this Saturday, August 2nd, from 1-4 p.m. Eastern time on ESPN Radio. The show will serve as a lead-in to Night One of the premium live event. Booker T and Brad Gilmore currently host their own successful show three nights a week on ESPN 97.5 in Houston.

A Stacked Two-Night SummerSlam Weekend

This year marks the first time that “The Biggest Party of the Summer” will be held across two nights. The historic event will emanate from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Saturday, August 2nd, and Sunday, August 3rd. The extended audio pre-show is part of WWE’s effort to make the weekend a major spectacle for fans.

The special ESPN Radio pre-show will have plenty to discuss for Night One of the event. The Saturday card is scheduled to be headlined by the World Heavyweight Championship match between GUNTHER and CM Punk. Other major matches on the first night include Roman Reigns & Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed, and Tiffany Stratton defending the WWE Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill.
