WWE Strongly Considering Having Dominik Mysterio Win Another Title

Following his shocking appearance at a recent AAA event, a new report from WrestleVotes indicates that WWE is “strongly considering” a plan that would see their own Intercontinental Champion, Dominik Mysterio, also win the AAA Mega Championship.

WWE ‘Strongly Considering’ Dominik As AAA Mega Champion

On the latest WrestleVotes Radio, it was reported that the idea of AAA’s top champion appearing weekly on WWE programming is “appealing to all sides involved.” The report added that WWE is “heavily considering making him the face of AAA for the time being.”

A Four-Way Showdown At Triplemania

This news comes after Mysterio crashed a recent AAA show, attacking El Hijo del Vikingo and Dragon Lee to insert himself into the Mega Championship picture. He is now scheduled to compete in a four-way match for the title at Triplemania XXXIII on August 16 in Mexico City. The match will also include the champion, Vikingo, as well as Dragon Lee and El Grande Americano.

If the plan comes to fruition, Mysterio would become a dual-brand, inter-promotional champion. He is currently the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion and is scheduled to defend that title this weekend at SummerSlam against “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles.
