The August 1, 2025, episode of WWE SmackDown concluded with a physical altercation between the four participants of a scheduled SummerSlam tag team match: Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, and the musical artist Jelly Roll. The program ended after Orton and Jelly Roll attacked members of the security staff in the ring.
Paul and McIntyre’s Remarks
The final segment of the broadcast began with Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre in the ring. Paul stated that Jelly Roll thought SummerSlam was a “hotdog eating contest” and called him a “country star, not a superstar.” McIntyre then addressed his opponent, Randy Orton, stating, “whatever happens tomorrow will be on Randy Orton’s conscience.”
Interruption by Orton and Jelly Roll
Before McIntyre could continue, Randy Orton and Jelly Roll appeared and walked to the ring. The SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis, attempted to prevent them from entering the ring but was unsuccessful.
Brawl Ensues
Upon entering the ring, Orton and Jelly Roll engaged in a physical brawl with Paul and McIntyre. A group of security officials came to the ring to stop the fight and separate the four men. Paul and McIntyre were escorted to the outside of the ring while security remained between the two teams.
Security Attacked
Inside the ring, Randy Orton delivered his signature “RKO” move to two of the security officials. Jelly Roll then performed a chokeslam on a third security member. The show concluded with Orton and Jelly Roll in the ring as Paul and McIntyre stood on the outside.
The tag team match between these four men is scheduled to take place at SummerSlam tomorrow, August 2. The event will be broadcast live on Peacock in the United States and on the WWE Network in international markets.
