WWE Planning Special Entrance For SummerSlam

A new report suggests that fans at tonight’s SummerSlam Night Two will be treated to a special tribute entrance paying homage to the late, great WWE Hall of Famer, Eddie Guerrero.

Eddie Guerrero-Style Entrance Planned

According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE has an entrance planned for tonight’s show that will be in the style of Eddie Guerrero, complete with a lowrider car as part of the spectacle. While the report did not specify which superstar the entrance is for, fan speculation is running wild that it will be for the reigning Intercontinental Champion, Dominik Mysterio.

A Fitting Tribute For ‘Dirty Dom’

An Eddie Guerrero-inspired entrance for Dominik Mysterio would be a fitting tribute, given the long and deeply personal storyline history between “Latino Heat” and the Mysterio family. In 2005, Guerrero was embroiled in a now-infamous feud with Rey Mysterio that included the notorious “I’m Your Papi” storyline, where Eddie claimed to be Dominik’s biological father. Dominik has often incorporated Guerrero’s mannerisms and the “Lie, Cheat, Steal” philosophy into his “Dirty Dom” heel persona, making him the logical choice for such a tribute.

Dominik Mysterio is scheduled to defend his Intercontinental Championship tonight on Night Two of SummerSlam against “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles. If the special entrance is indeed for him, it will add another memorable layer to what is already one of the most anticipated matches on the stacked card at MetLife Stadium.
