The AEW tag team The Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) will be a part of All Elite Wrestling for years to come. A new report has confirmed that both members of the powerful duo have signed new long-term, multi-year contracts with the company.
The Gates of Agony’s AEW Journey
The news, reported by Fightful, comes a day after both Kaun and Liona posted photos on social media with AEW President Tony Khan, sparking speculation that new deals had been signed. The Gates of Agony debuted as a team at ROH Supercard of Honor in 2022 and went on to become two-time ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions alongside Brian Cage as members of The Mogul Embassy.
A New Alliance For The Gates of Agony
Recently, The Gates of Agony have been featured in a new, high-profile role on AEW programming. They have broken away from their previous faction and formed a new alliance with former WWE star Ricochet, serving as his powerhouse backup.
The new long-term contracts come as The Gates of Agony are making a renewed push in the tag team division under the leadership of Ricochet. The new faction recently competed in the quarterfinals of the AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament on Collision, where they were defeated by the team of “Brodido” (Brody King & Bandido). Despite the tournament loss, their new contracts and alliance signal that they will be a significant force in AEW for years to come.
