John Cena Vs. Logan Paul Set For WWE Clash In Paris, Cody Rhodes Badly Hurt By Drew McIntyre On SmackDown

John Cena will face Logan Paul at WWE Clash in Paris 2025, scheduled for Sunday, August 31 at Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France. The match was confirmed during the August 8 episode of WWE SmackDown in Montreal.

During the opening SmackDown promo, Cena reflected on his career and the Montreal crowd. He noted he has 11 WWE appearances remaining, acknowledged his fears of letting fans down, and referenced Brock Lesnar—declaring Lesnar now has a “John Cena problem.”

Logan Paul interrupted, calling this version of Cena “sick” and ultimately challenging him to a match at Clash in Paris. Cena accepted. Drew McIntyre attacked Cena, but Cody Rhodes intervened, setting up a tag team match later in the show. Later in the show, Cena and R-Truth became friends again.

SmackDown Main Event Highlights

The main event featured Cena teaming with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes against Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre. The match ended in disqualification after Paul delivered a low blow on Cena. Post-match, Paul fought Cena backstage. McIntyre attacked Rhodes, using the championship belt and delivering a Claymore Kick that sent Rhodes through the broadcast table.

Women’s World Championship Match

Also official for Clash in Paris: Naomi (c) will defend the Women’s World Championship against Stephanie Vaquer, who earned the title shot by winning a battle royal at WWE Evolution.
