A new report from Fightful Select has confirmed that the new AEW TNT Champion, Kyle Fletcher, has signed a new long-term, multi-year contract to remain with All Elite Wrestling. The deal was reportedly agreed to earlier this spring.
Kyle Fletcher’s New AEW Contract
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, AEW sources have confirmed the new deal for Fletcher. The report notes that AEW President Tony Khan has communicated that he “sees Fletcher as a big part of AEW’s future.”
The new multi-year contract is reportedly considered a “big money deal,” especially given Fletcher’s young age. The report adds that Fletcher used a representative to negotiate the new agreement with the company.
A New Singles Champion
The news of his long-term signing comes just over a week after Fletcher captured his first singles championship in AEW. On the July 31 episode of AEW Collision, he defeated Dustin Rhodes in a brutal Chicago Street Fight to win the TNT Championship.
Fletcher, a member of the Don Callis Family, has quickly become one of the top young stars in the company. His title victory adds another championship to the powerful faction, which also includes the reigning AEW Unified Champion, Kazuchika Okada.
His first title defense as the new TNT Champion is expected to be announced in the coming weeks on AEW programming, which airs weekly on TBS and TNT. The full report from Sean Ross Sapp can be found on Fightful Select.
