Speaking on The Club 520 podcast, “Dirty Dom” addressed the fan speculation that he was faking an injury to get out of his scheduled match with AJ Styles. He detailed the specific nature of the real injury he was dealing with.

“I dislocated my two lower ribs and they were digging into my cartilage. So that was why I was actually hurt,” Mysterio said. “Everyone thought I was faking it, but I was actually hurt.”
