Former WWE Star Brian Knobs Facing Possible Leg Amputation, Asks For Support

Brian Knobs of The Nasty Boys has revealed in a video posted to his YouTube channel (scroll down to see the video) that he is facing a possible leg amputation due to a recurring infection in his foot. This latest health crisis comes as he is also dealing with a severe injury to his wife and the recent death of his “best friend in the world,” Hulk Hogan.

A Series of Tragedies

In the video, Knobs detailed the devastating series of events that have occurred in his life over the past several weeks. “It’s been a past crazy couple weeks. Everything’s been going on, quite emotional, and they found out that my foot is infected again, so now they’re talking about amputation,” he stated. “And then, besides that, my wife had an accident here at this hotel we were staying… and broke her ankle with the bone coming through, so a compound fracture. So now she’s laid up in rehab. And then my best friend in the world passes away, and it’s just been a tough road”.

A History of Health Issues

This is the latest in a long series of health struggles for the former WWE and WCW Tag Team Champion. In recent years, Knobs has battled a severe staph infection that has required multiple surgeries on his knee and leg, leading to significant mobility issues and mounting medical bills. This recurring infection is what has now put him at risk of amputation.

“I Am Not Losing Any of My Limbs”

Knobs expressed his determination to fight the potential amputation, drawing inspiration from his friend and fellow wrestling legend, Buff Bagwell, who recently underwent a similar procedure. “I see my buddy Buff Bagwell, you know. And then he’s still fighting and fighting a good fight. But in my mind, I am not losing any of my limbs,” Knobs declared. “They already told me they ain’t just like, you know, amputate my foot. They want to go higher or higher… And that ain’t gonna happen. I’m totally against that”.

Asking for Help

Due to the overwhelming circumstances, Knobs is once again asking the wrestling community for support through his GoFundMe page. “And now I have to come try to ask you guys again for how rough it is out there these days, to try to help me out, you know. And, you know, donate some money to me,” he said. He also addressed the financial realities of his era of wrestling, stating, “back in the day, we didn’t make the kind of money they do today. We wrestled, we paid for everything we did. So you know, planes, cars, everything like that was out of our paycheck”.

The “Hardest Time” of His Life

Knobs described this period as the most difficult he has ever faced. “Damn, this is hard. It really is probably the hardest time of my 62 years on this earth I’m going through,” he said. “Please go to my Go Fund Me. If you can do anything, I appreciate it, and even thoughts and prayers, whatever, just keep them coming, because that’s the only thing that’s keeping me going”.
