Former WWE Star Melina To Share “Embarrassing” Stories, Including Infamous Apron Fall, In New Live Show

In a new interview on WrestlingNews.co’s “The Velvet Ropes,” former WWE Women’s Champion Melina discussed her new live stage show, “Unwritten.” She described the show as a series of “audio diaries” where she will connect with a live audience by sharing personal stories and life lessons from her career, including some of her most embarrassing moments.

“Audio Diaries”

Melina explained the concept behind the show, which she hopes will be an empowering experience for her fans. “I’m going to do kind of like … it’s like an audio thing, audio diaries,” she said. “And I’m going to talk about how the the things that we go through is learning lessons, and it makes you stronger, like I’ve been through so many embarrassing things.”

The Infamous Apron Fall

She revealed that the first story she plans to tell is about one of her most famous and viral moments: the time she slipped and fell off the ring apron during her entrance on a live pay-per-view. “My probably my first little audio diary is that the the time I fell off the apron in live television, pay per view,” she said. “I just fell off, and I was like, ‘oh,’ and I just threw myself in, like… the way I reacted was, like, freak out, throw myself in, because I didn’t know what to do. And then I just played it off, and everybody loved it.”

A Lesson in Overcoming Embarrassment

She wants to use stories like this to teach a lesson about perspective and overcoming life’s embarrassing moments. “It all depends,” she explained. “It could be the end of the world, depending on you look at it, or it could be something that’s like, haha, you overcome and it’s like, it’s nothing, it’s okay. And I did that in front of everybody around the world.”

Connecting with the Audience

The ultimate goal of “Unwritten” is to connect with her audience on a deeper level. “I know people want to connect. They have all these questions, and I just want to sit with everybody and be like, ‘Okay, let’s ask together. Let me share my life myself, who I am, with you,'” she said. “And at the same time, take these things that I’ve learned about myself or life and other people… and see like maybe you could take it home and empower yourself, because there’s nothing you can’t do.”

“The Only Person Stopping Me Was Me”

She concluded by sharing the personal revelation that she hopes to impart to others. “Believe me, I thought, what can I do? A girl who… didn’t think I’d be on TV. Thought it was too ugly, too short, too all these things that I felt like society told me I wasn’t enough for,” she said. “And, you know, followed little bits and pieces of a dream that got bigger and bigger bigger and then realized there isn’t anything I can do. The only person stopping me was me.”

Melina’s “Unwritten” live show is coming to The Cavendish Arms in London on August 23, 2025, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM, with additional dates in Chicago to be announced.
