New Match Announced For AEW Dynamite

AEW President Tony Khan has announced a six-woman tag team match for tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite. The bout will see multiple rivalries from the women’s division collide in Cincinnati.

New Six-Woman Tag Team Match Added to AEW Dynamite

In a post on social media, Khan announced the new match, writing, “Rivalries collide on Dynamite TONIGHT!” The match will see AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone team with Thekla and Skye Blue to take on the trio of Willow Nightingale, Alex Windsor, and Queen Aminata.

The match features several intersecting storylines. The friendship between former partners Willow Nightingale and Skye Blue has recently fractured, placing them on opposite sides. Additionally, Alex Windsor is currently feuding with the Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena, who is the mentor of Thekla and Billie Starkz.

A Stacked Card for AEW Dynamite

This new match has been added to an already loaded card for tonight’s show. In the main event, “Cope” Adam Copeland will make his in-ring return to face Stokely Hathaway in a match with major stipulations involving FTR. Also, Jon Moxley will be in action in his hometown against Kevin Knight.

The show will also feature a major face-to-face confrontation between the new AEW World Champion, “Hangman” Adam Page, and the number one contender, MJF, to build to their future championship match.

Tonight’s show continues the build to the upcoming AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view on August 24. AEW Dynamite airs live tonight at 8 p.m. ET on TBS.
