AEW President Tony Khan is no stranger to dealing with critics on social media, and he recently offered a short and sarcastic response to a troll who claimed WWE would eventually shut down his company.
Tony Khan Responds To Social Media Troll
Following last night’s broadcast of AEW Collision, a user on the social media platform X responded to Khan, claiming they “can’t wait” for AEW to be shut down due to competition from WWE.
In response, Khan kept it brief. He posted a GIF from the television series “Star Trek” with the simple and sarcastic message: “that’ll be the day.” The post was a clear and concise dismissal of the user’s comment.
In recent weeks, reports have emerged that WWE is hoping to move its partner promotion, TNA Wrestling, to Wednesday nights to compete head-to-head with AEW’s flagship show, Dynamite. Khan has also recently spoken out against what he calls a “false narrative” that his company lacks storytelling, a common criticism about the promotion from some.
