Jacob Fatu: “Jeff Hardy, Man, I Want To Have A Match With Jeff; One Of The Dopest”

WWE Superstar Jacob Fatu recently addressed the possibility of aligning with Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey) to counter the MFT faction currently led by Solo Sikoa.

During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Fatu was presented with a hypothetical scenario involving a major tag team match, potentially at Survivor Series, pitting him, Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso against Sikoa’s group. Fatu indicated he had not previously considered the specific lineup but reacted positively to the suggestion, acknowledging the current separation due to the brand split between Raw (where Jey Uso is assigned) and SmackDown:

“Yeah, bro, you know, we just split, but, uh, I never even thought about that. But, man, bro, that dude, man, that do sound good, because obviously, bro, your boy needs some help, right? No, but hey, man, I never thought about that, man. But, uh, it will be good once again…I mean, that would be a special moment for me. I mean not for me, but everybody. But nah, that never crossed my mind though.”

In addition to discussing the dynamics within The Bloodline, Fatu was asked about potential opponents he has yet to face in his career. He identified two specific veterans as dream matches. The first was Jeff Hardy, a veteran performer with a long history in WWE, TNA/Impact Wrestling, and AEW. Fatu stated, “Jeff Hardy, man, I want to have a match with Jeff. Man, one of the dopest. Man, yeah. I mean, Jeff.” He also named a former WWE Cruiserweight and Tag Team Champion, adding, “I’m a huge fan of Tajiri.”

Fatu also spoke about the diverse talent currently on the WWE roster and his experiences working with various competitors since his arrival. He emphasized the importance of adaptability in the ring, citing advice he received regarding versatility:

“Man, eventually, obviously, all the gentlemen here, man, you know, everybody here, because everybody’s a great worker. You know, I was very blessed to even work with Boston’s own man, Carmelo Hayes. Andrade Ciampa, Johnny. I mean, you know, I used to watch these cats… Man, there’s a lot of cats, though, you know. my uncle taught us…you got to learn how to gel with everybody if you want to really know how to move around here. So just anybody.”

The potential alignment discussed by Fatu took a step toward realization on the August 15 edition of SmackDown. Fatu teamed with Jimmy Uso and Sami Zayn to defeat Solo Sikoa and the MFTs (JC Mateo and Tonga Loa) in a six-man tag team match. While Jey Uso remains on the Raw roster and Roman Reigns’ Raw return (in a storyline with The Vision) is expected soon, the ongoing conflict between the family factions remains a central storyline on WWE programming.
