An official announcement for WWE’s next premium live event is reportedly imminent. According to a new report from PWInsiderElite.com, the company will be announcing its September 20th “WrestlePalooza” event this Wednesday.
WWE WrestlePalooza Announcement Expected
The show is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 20, from Indianapolis, Indiana. The main event for the show has been reported to be a singles match between John Cena and the returning Brock Lesnar. WWE set up the match at SummerSlam, when Lesnar returned and took out Cena.
A Head-To-Head Clash With AEW All Out
The September 20th date is a significant one, as the show will run head-to-head with AEW’s All Out pay-per-view, which is taking place in Toronto, Canada. It marks the first time that a main roster WWE premium live event will air in direct competition with a major AEW pay-per-view.
The decision to run an event in Indianapolis is part of WWE’s larger partnership with the Indiana Sports Corp, which will see several major events, including a future WrestleMania, come to the state. The full report can be found on PWInsiderElite.com.
