A recently released WWE star has made their debut for All Elite Wrestling. At the AEW Collision taping in Glasgow, Scotland, on August 20, former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Isla Dawn made a surprise appearance in her home country.
According to those in attendance at the taping, which is set to air this Saturday, Dawn worked a singles match. She faced off against the powerful Megan Bayne. Dawn was unsuccessful in her debut, with Bayne picking up the victory.
Dawn was released from her WWE contract earlier this year. Her release came as a surprise to many, as she and her tag team partner, fellow Scot Alba Fyre, had a successful run on the main roster, which included winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at the Clash at the Castle premium live event in Wales last year.
There was no official announcement made at the taping as to whether Dawn has signed a full-time contract with AEW or if her appearance was a one-off for the show in her home country. Check out the Dynamite spoilers here.
