Matt Hardy Addresses Potential Retirement For The Hardys After TNA Bound For Glory

The Hardy Boys are heading into one of the biggest matches of their careers at TNA Bound for Glory, where they will face Team 3D, in a match billed as “The Final Battle.”

Speaking on the TMZ Inside The Ring podcast with Branson Quirke and Roger Corral, Matt Hardy was posed a hypothetical question: what would happen if The Hardy Boys were to lose their TNA World Tag Team Titles to The Dudley Boyz in their final encounter?

Matt stated that a loss like that would force him and his brother to have a serious conversation about their futures. He floated the idea that it might be time to hang up their boots and look towards inductions into both the TNA and WWE Hall of Fame.

“I mean, hypothetically, if that did happen, if we went to Bound for Glory and the Dudleys won the TNA World Tag Team Titles, I think we would have to take a long, hard look in the mirror and just and kind of judge where we’re at. And like, you know, is it time to ride off into the sun, sunset, and do the TNA Hall of Fame? Time to do the WWE Hall of Fame? You know, we’ll see. Right now, we’re feeling really good, and we’re going to try and rock and roll like it’s 2001.”
