The Hardy Boyz Say They Have A “Deserved Shot” At The NXT Tag Titles

The reigning TNA World Tag Team Champions, Matt and Jeff Hardy, have shared their interest in winning more championship gold in WWE.

The Hardy Boyz Want More WWE Gold

In a recent interview with FOX 9 in Minneapolis, Matt Hardy discussed the possibility of returning to a WWE ring. He stated that he and his brother would love to win the new versions of the WWE Tag Team Titles, which they have never held.

“I think too, man, when you talk about titles and us wanting to cement our legacy as one of the greatest tag teams of all time. I still think that, with this interesting partnership between TNA and WWE, I would love to see us mix it up and win some WWE Tag Team Titles again,” Matt Hardy said.

A “Deserved Shot” At The NXT Tag Team Titles

He also made it clear that they have their eyes on the NXT Tag Team Championships, referencing a recent victory they had over the champions at the time. “You know, a couple of months back, we beat the NXT Tag Team Champions, and we never got a deserved shot,” he said, referring to their victory over Fraxiom at the NXT Roadblock event. “So we would love to have a shot at those NXT titles too.”

The Hardy Boyz captured the TNA World Tag Team Championships for the third time in their careers at the Slammiversary pay-per-view in July. Their next big title defense is expected to be against Team 3D at the Bound for Glory pay-per-view in October. The full interview with The Hardy Boyz can be seen on the FOX 9 website.
