AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door Results: Hangman Page Keeps World Heavyweight Title

AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page vs. MJF took place at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event from The O2 Arena in London, England.

Page beat down MJF to open things up as MJF kept rolling out to the floor. MJF tossed him into the ring post. Back in the ring, MJF hit a piledriver for 2. Page with a headbutt then a crossbody off the top and then right hands. Page with a moonsault off the top rope to the floor. Page with a powerbomb for 2. Page went for a spring board move and MJF hit a cutter then a DDT for 2. Page with a tombstone on the floor. Page with dead eye through a table. MJF with a tombstone onto the broken table. MJF hit the exposed turnbuckle with his face and busted a gusher. Page and MJF reversed moves including pin attempts. Page with dead eye for 2. MJF wanted him to hit him in the head with his diamond ring and tried to get him to do it, but Page thought better. Page went for his finisher, but avoided it and MJF pushed Page into the referee. MJF with the blow and the heat seeker but Page had his foot on the bottom rope. MJF didn’t realize it. Mark Briscoe ran out to attack MJF, but was stopped by security. The referee got up and told MJF that he wasn’t champion. The referee pushed MJF before Page went for his finisher, but MJF avoided. MJF distracted the referee and hit a low blow to Page for 2. MJF with a shot from the stel clipboard while the referee was getting rid of the ring and yet Page kicked out. The referee was distracted and Page hit MJF with the clipboard before hitting the dead eye for the win.
