Rampage Jackson Releases Statement After Son Knocks Out Wrestler At Indie Show

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has released a statement regarding a serious incident at a Knox Pro wrestling event in Los Angeles on Saturday. The incident saw his son, Raja Jackson, legitimately knock out and injure a wrestler named Syko Stu in what was reportedly supposed to be a planned spot.

A Planned Spot Turns Real at Knox Pro

During the main event of the show, Raja Jackson entered the ring from the crowd and attacked Syko Stu. He picked Stu up and slammed him to the mat, legitimately knocking him unconscious. Raja then continued to land repeated punches to the face of the unresponsive wrestler until several other wrestlers entered the ring to subdue him. Stu was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

A report from Fightful has since clarified that while Raja entering the ring to attack Stu was part of a plan, Stu was legitimately knocked out by the slam and was unable to defend himself from the punches.

‘Rampage’ Jackson Releases A Statement

In his statement, “Rampage” Jackson apologized for his son’s actions and provided an update on the injured wrestler’s condition. “I’ve been confirmed that the wrestler is awake and stable,” he wrote. He explained that there was an incident before the show where Stu hit Raja with a beer can, and Raja was told he could get his “payback” in the ring as part of the show.

“It was bad judgement, and a work that went wrong. Raja is a MMA fighter not a pro wrestler and had no business involved in an event like this,” Rampage continued. “I don’t condone my son’s actions AT ALL! He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact… As a father, im deeply concerned with his health AND the well being of Mr. Smith… my main concern now is that Mr. Smith will make a speedy recovery.I apologize on his behalf.”
