Ricochet Blasts Fan Bias, Admits Most Of His WWE Matches ‘Sucked’

AEW star Ricochet has taken to social media to defend title matches from this past Sunday’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view. In the process, he also took some critical shots at his own booking during his time in WWE.

Ricochet Defends The AEW Forbidden Door Main Events

The conversation began when a user on Twitter questioned why two championship matches at Forbidden Door — “Hangman” Adam Page vs. MJF and Kazuchika Okada vs. Swerve Strickland — were receiving some negative feedback online.

“Because it wasn’t on WWE. legit that’s the only reason,” he responded.

Ricochet’s WWE Booking

When another user predicted that fans would now come after him and claim that his own matches in WWE “sucked sh*t,” Ricochet agreed with them, but placed the blame on his booking and limited match time.

“Sh*t, most of them did,” Ricochet wrote. “But how you gonna have a good match in a 3 minutes, 1 segment match, with entrances and I gotta put the other guy over cause i make people look better than they actually are? Of course that’s gonna suck.”

Ricochet left WWE for AEW last year. He recently formed a new faction with The Gates of Agony and MJF, and is now in the middle of feuding with the Hurt Syndicate.
